The Wi-Fi smoke detector is used to detect potential or ongoing fires. The detection of smoke concentration is based on the principle that particles in smoke refract infrared light. When the smoke refracts the infrared emission light, and the intensity of the infrared light received by the detector reaches a preset threshold, the smoke detector is considered to be active, triggering a smoke alarm signal.
